So this was taken from the front door this morning at about 8:20. Just for posterity sake, that is: 8:20 am, Nov. 9th, 2007, North Pole, Alaska. *grin* That's looking over the top of B&W's house. DD looked out the window and she said "Mom, wow, come look at this." This was taken a couple of minutes after that, as I had to find the darned camera first. *grin*
Mom's always posting beautiful pictures of Hawaiian Sunsets at her place, so I figured it's about time I post an Alaskan winter sunrise here. *grin* And ooooooh the colors were spectacular. This pic really doesn't do them justice. The florescent pink & absolutely divine lavender of the clouds, with that bit of golden sunrise thrown in...... *sigh* Just lovely!!!!
Anyway. That's really pretty much all I've got to share.
Have a Blessed Day!

I've actually got three comments...
1) What an absolutely beautiful sunrise. When I click through to the large photo, it is just gorgeous.
2) This also has a feeling that I associate with the far north...barren. It looks like that house is just sitting in the middle of...nothing. No one around for miles. LOL
3) 8:20 and the sun was just coming up? Wow. And when does the sun set?
OMG -- that's gotta be the most beautiful "sky-scape" I've ever seen! I would seriously give one of my kidneys just to see that... the downfall of being too close to the equator :(
Your days must be getting pretty short now. I notice once we sat the clocks back it starting to get dark about 5 here and sun starts to come up I real never pay attention to when it coming up.
But I know our days are shorter.
How beautiful!
Thanks for sharing this with us.
Splendid! This morning we got more snow and the sunrise on the snow was gorgeous.
